Young Interpreters Course 2016

Are you aged 14 - 18?

Would you like to learn more about the role of an interpreter

and gain national accreditation?

Maybe you attend a community language school in Sheffield or help your parents or other family members by interpreting at parents’ evenings or other events?

Languages Sheffield and the WEA (the largest provider of community education in the UK) are working together to provide a FREE course for Young Interpreters.

The course is 8 weekly sessions, 10am - 1.00pm, starting Saturday 1 October.

There will be some homework, too!

To find out more about the course and meet the tutor, come to our

Information Session on Saturday 17 September 10am (to finish about 11am) at

 Sheffield Hallam University’s Business School:

Room 7512, Level 5, the Stoddart Building, Arundel Gate, (opposite Sainsbury’s) – all the classes will be held here.

If you are still interested in joining the course, you will also come to a follow up assessment the week after (24 September). Both of these sessions will make sure the course is right for you and that you have the necessary skills to participate.
