ClubOK – Russian School and Social Club

ClubOK logo

Since starting in 2008 as a social club with just 6 children we have now grown and put strong emphasis on the complementary school side of our activities. However we are still making sure to offer our members’ families chance to socialise by having much appreciated tea break in the middle of our teaching sessions. Every year we put on traditional New Year and Easter celebration to which members and well as non-members are invited. During the holiday breaks we organise family days out to local outdoor and indoor attractions. Through our members network we also offer advice and support to people in Sheffield and nearby areas with an interest in Russian language and culture. We closely work with Languages Sheffield, City Council and HoLa project at King Edwards VII Languages College which gives us access to great facilities, allows us participate and see wider role of a complementary schools as well as offer great opportunity to interact with other complementary schools in Sheffield. Being non-profit organisation we strongly rely on our membership fees as well as members’ involvement. Parental support/involvement at school and home are expected to help children on their Russian language learning path.
